It's NOT A RECENT TREND. It's SUPPOSED TO BE TRIED EVERY TIME BUT THEY RARELY DO SO CORRECTLY "Latest Fad in Policing: 'De-escalation'"| PJ Media
De-escalation should be attempted every time on all situations... It's just a fancy word for "DONT MAKE THINGS WORSE FOR YOURSELF OR THE OTHER PERSON(s)",...try to pacify rather than play tough guy, this is not a Hollywood tryout to play Clint Eastwood in a western movie. Unfortunately, cops throw protocol out the window too often too quickly. They are TOO often to blame.
